The Hamon Arts Library at SMU supports the Meadows School of Arts with a collection that holds close to 250,000 items relating to the visual and performing arts. Hamon is home to the Jerry Bywaters Collection on Art of the Southwest, the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection and the Hawn Gallery.

SMU Libraries incorporates a system of seven libraries which collectively support SMU’s mission by creating, expanding and imparting knowledge through teaching, research and service. Continuing the tradition begun over 100 years ago when the first campus library opened its doors, SMU Libraries is dedicated to creating an optimal library experience for the SMU campus community. SMU Libraries collectively inspire and empower students, faculty, staff, and our community to be the world changers needed in our fast-paced, global environment.
